Verena Schatz, a native of Tyrol, is an artist and glassmaker whose work operates at the interface between art, craft, and design—from interactive installations to sculpture and functional design. She has lived and worked in St. Konrad, near Gmunden since 2017. Since 2021 she has been running the "Glass Maker Space" there as well. Her work is represented in the Art Collection of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Linz Schloss Museum, and the City of Innsbruck, among others. She received the Josef Franz Würlinger Prize in 2022.
