THE ASSOCIATION

Kulturvision Salzkammergut is a interdisciplinary community of artists and cultural professionals in the Salzkammergut region, based in Altmünster on Lake Traunsee. Its members offer diverse expertise and serve as contacts for various projects in the arts and culture sector. In addition to artists from various disciplines of the visual and performing arts, members also include professionals from the fields of art education, analog and digital art and cultural mediation, cultural and project management, exhibition design, fine art printing, and more.

The association's goal is to sustainably promote art and culture in the Salzkammergut region. Kulturvision Salzkammergut connects professional artistic experts, interacting regionally, nationally, and internationally through targeted project collaborations and funding applications. The Kulturvision Salzkammergut network stretches within the Salzkammergut from the Ausseerland region to Lake Attersee and the Almtal valley.

The association was founded in 2020 and reconstituted in its current form in March 2021. The association emerged from the European Capital of Culture 2024 bidding initiative to embed the guidelines, goals and visions in the European Capital of Culture.
