Born in northern Germany, raised in Gmunden, trained as a photographer, studied languages in Israel and Jordan, spent three years in development aid in South Sudan/Africa, and America, and took a master's class in photography in Vienna. 

Since 1990, I have been a freelance photographer, working at the ARThaus4 studio in Gmunden from 2011 to 2016. My perception and photographic expression are shaped by life in other cultures. My interest has always been in the individual, with their story and the unique self behind it. In the abstract photography, that emerged later - created primarily through my physical motion - it's about dissolving the concrete and the emotional vision  - leaving it open for the viewer.
